TORONTO – Toronto police say a second boy has been charged in last weekend’s stabbing death of a 14-year-old.

Investigators say the 16-year-old voluntarily reported to the police station Friday, four days after the first 16-year-old boy accused in the stabbing contacted police.

Both teens are charged with first-degree murder in the death of the boy, who was stabbed near a McDonald’s in Toronto’s east end last Saturday.

Police have said hundreds of people were in the area at the time because of a nearby concert, and some of them flagged down paramedics.

Emergency responders found the boy with stab wounds and he was taken to hospital, where he died.

The identities of both accused are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
