VANCOUVER – Police say a 22-year-old man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a stabbing on a bus in Vancouver early Sunday.
A statement from Vancouver Police says a 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged with assault in connection to the stabbing.
Police say officers responded shortly before 3 a.m. to reports that someone had been stabbed on a bus near the Burrard Street bridge.
They say officers arrived to find the seriously injured 22-year-old victim, who was taken to hospital for treatment.
The suspect was arrested near Burrard Street and Cornwall Avenue.
Police say he remained in custody, charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession for a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
