MISSISSAUGA – Peel police say one person is dead following a single-vehicle collision in Mississauga, Ont., Wednesday morning.

The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. near Cawthra Road and Dundas Street East.

Police say a male was taken to a local hospital in life-threatening condition but succumbed to his injuries.

His identity has not been released.

All north and south lanes on Cawthra Road were closed for an investigation.
