NEWMARKET – Police are seeking witnesses who can help identify a suspect after a rabbit was shot dead in front of a Newmarket, Ont., home.
York Regional Police say officers were called to the area of Glenway Circle and Eagle Street West shortly after 11 a.m. on Sunday, after a homeowner found a rabbit shot on their front lawn.
Police have released surveillance video that shows a white Ford F-150 pickup truck stopped on the street outside the residence around 6 a.m. that morning.

Someone leaned out of the back window and fired the shot that killed the rabbit before the pickup drove away.
Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have additional surveillance or dashcam video to contact them.
Police are also asking witnesses who haven’t yet spoken with them to come forward.
