BRACEBRIDGE – Ontario Provincial Police say the death of a 25-year-old West Nippising man whose body was found earlier this week in Torrance is being treated as a homicide.
The body of Tyler Penasse, also known as Tyler Pellerin-Penasse, was found Monday in a remote area near Hardy Lake Road.
Police say the determination was made following a postmortem conducted Wednesday at the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service in Toronto.
Investigators are appealing for the public’s help in the case.
Anyone who was in the areas of Hardy Lake Road, Torrance, Bala, Wahta and Gravenhurst between Sept. 14 and Sept. 15 and who may have dashcam footage or other information is asked to contact police.
The investigation is being conducted by the Bracebridge OPP crime unit.
