NEW WESTMINSTER – Police in New Westminster say a woman with three outstanding warrants was arrested earlier this week after a break and enter in the city.
They say officers responded to a report on Thursday around 5 p.m. on the 700 block of Hamilton St. in the city.
The department says in a news release that the caller said an unknown woman had been found inside an apartment and when confronted, she assaulted a witness and fled the scene.

It says a detailed description of the suspect was provided to officers by the witnesses, and she was arrested about 40 minutes later.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, but the suspect is being held for court and charges will be recommended.
They say officers are now also working to determine if this suspect is connected to numerous other recent break and enter investigations.
This report by The Canadian Press was first published Oct. 4, 2025.
