Provincial police say two people are dead and a teenager is injured after a two-vehicle crash in North Perth, Ont., on Saturday night.

Police say emergency crews were called to the scene on Perth Line 86 just after 8:30 p.m.

They say the crash involved a car and a pickup truck, noting both vehicles were heavily damaged.

Police say the two occupants of the car, aged 75 and 72, were pronounced dead. 

They say the 17-year-old driver of the pickup truck was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
