A Canadian Press story published on Oct. 26 incorrectly reported that Dominic Cardy was an NDP member who crossed the floor and became education minister in the cabinet of former premier Blaine Higgs. In fact, Cardy was a former provincial NDP leader who resigned from that party and joined the Progressive Conservatives, getting elected and joining cabinet as education minister one year later.
