CHEMAINUS, BRITISH COLUMBIA – Police on Vancouver Island say they’re investigating the deaths of two men whose bodies were found in an industrial area in Chemainus, south of Nanaimo.

A statement from North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP says the investigation is in its early stages, but the deaths were an “isolated event.”

The Mounties say “there is no immediate danger to the public.”

They say officers responded to the report just after 6 a.m. last Friday.

The RCMP’s general investigation section and forensic identification services are working together on the case.

Police are asking anyone with information about the deaths to contact them.
