EDMONTON – Police are searching for a driver after a man was struck and knocked out of his wheelchair in Edmonton.

Police say the driver of a red SUV was trying to turn left from 127 Avenue onto 123 Street on Oct. 25 when the vehicle hit two men crossing the street.

A 31-year-old man was thrown from his wheelchair in what police call a hit and run.

Police say the driver got out of the vehicle to speak with the two men before leaving the scene.

They say the man has serious but not life-threatening injuries and didn’t specify if the other man was injured.

Investigators obtained video of the collision caught on a surveillance camera.
