CORTINA D’AMPEZZO – Canadian snowboarder Kaylie Buck earned World Cup silver in the women’s parallel giant slalom event on Saturday.
The Oakville, Ont., native finished with a time of one minute 17.35 seconds.
Austria’s Sabine Payer (1:15.99) defeated Buck to grab gold.
Czechia’s Zuzana Maderova (1:16.37) topped Italy’s Jasmin Coratti (1:16.49) in the small final to take bronze.
It was by far the best World Cup finish of the season for the 25-year-old Buck.
She finished 23rd last Saturday and 30th on Sunday.
