MONTRÉAL – A man in his 30s is dead after a fire broke out in a tent in the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough of Montreal.
Montreal police say they received a 911 at around 7:50 a.m. about the tent fire near Iberville St. and Masson St.
Police spokesman Jean-Pierre Brabant says firefighters were quickly able to bring the fire under control.
He says first responders found the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation has been transferred to the police force’s arson section.
Brabant says investigators with review surveillance camera footage, and an autopsy will be performed on the victim.
