LONDON – Police in Ontario say a 19-year-old was killed and two others were injured in a single-vehicle crash Friday on Highway 401 near London.
The Oxford Ontario Provincial Police say the crash happened just after 6:30 p.m., when officers responded to the collision about 60 kilometres east of London in the highway’s eastbound lanes near Oxford Road 22.
Police say the 19-year-old from London was a passenger in the vehicle and was taken to hospital but later died.
The driver suffered minor injuries, while a second passenger had non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash closed the eastbound lanes for that stretch of Highway 401 while police conducted their investigation.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage is to contact police.
