Toronto police say a dog died and pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision in the city’s west end.
Police say the incident happened in the area of Lakeshore Boulevard and Remembrance Drive Friday shortly before 2:20 p.m.
They say the dog and the pedestrian were struck by a vehicle.
Police say the dog died at the scene and the pedestrian was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say the driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
The road lane which was closed for investigation has since reopened.
