TORONTO – Toronto police say an 18-year-old man has been arrested after two people were stabbed in unprovoked attacks on Wednesday.

Police say they responded to a report of a stabbing near Bloor Street and Dufferin Street just after 4:30 p.m.

They allege the suspect approached the first victim from behind inside the Dufferin subway station and stabbed them before fleeing and stabbing a second victim near Pauline Avenue.

They allege both attacks were unprovoked and say the victims were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

They say the suspect was arrested by local police in Hamilton on Friday and taken back to Toronto.

Police say he’s facing multiple charges, including two counts of aggravated assault and carrying a concealed weapon.
