SASKATOON – Mounties in Saskatchewan say two teens have been arrested following an investigation into an online account that allegedly shared content associated with violent extremism.

RCMP say they began investigating Tuesday, with support from the Saskatoon Police Service, into a report about the account.

Two 14-year-olds were arrested the following day.

A news release doesn’t give details about the nature of the content and says there will be no further comment because the case is before the courts.

Each accused has been charged with uttering threats.

They are being held at the Saskatoon Youth Correctional Facility and are scheduled to appear in provincial court next week.
