MUSQUODOBOIT HARBOUR – Nova Scotia RCMP say a man is facing a charge of mischief for shouting hate-motivated comments at a young referee during a hockey game.

The Mounties say that on Feb. 6, officers began investigating a complaint about a hate-motivated incident at the Eastern Shore Community Centre in Musquodoboit Harbour.

Police say the referee ended the game and asked the spectator to leave.
