WINNIPEG – Winnipeg police say two women are in custody and a two-year-boy has been found safe after an Amber Alert was issued.
Police say the boy was taken from a home in the south end of the city on Friday following a violent dispute where the boy’s mother was assaulted.
The boy and a 30-year female suspect were found at a major intersection north of where the toddler was originally taken.
The two-year-old was brought to hospital to be checked for any injuries, but police say he appeared to be in good health.
A second female suspect was also taken into custody.
Police say the two suspects are not related to the boy but are known to the mother, and they say no charges have been laid yet.
