MONTREAL – A man in his 20s was killed overnight in a car crash in southwestern Quebec near the U.S. border.

Élizabeth Marquis, Quebec provincial police spokesperson, says the crash occurred shortly after midnight Saturday near the intersection of Ridge Road and Bouchette Street in Huntingdon.

According to Quebec provincial police, the driver lost control of his vehicle.

Marquis says he then veered out of his lane and his vehicle struck a rock along the roadside. 

Marquis says the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. 

An investigator and a collision reconstruction officer were dispatched to determine the causes and circumstances of the crash.
