HALIFAX – RCMP say the eight-year-old girl who went missing in northern Nova Scotia has been found safe.
Earlier in the day police said the girl had wandered from her yard around 9 a.m.
The home is located on Mount Pleasant Road in Cumberland County.
The rural area is near where Mount Pleasant Road intersects with Highway 301, about eight kilometres northwest of Oxford, N.S.
Shortly after 2 p.m. police issued a news release saying the girl had been located and was safe.
RCMP thanked Nova Scotians for their help in finding missing persons through social media shares and by offering tips.
