LANGLEY – Homicide investigators have been called in after a shooting in Langley, B.C., in which one man died.
Langley RCMP say they and other emergency services were called to a report of shots fired in the 5400 block of Brydon Cres., around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
They say the man was found in medical distress and despite efforts to save them, they died at the scene.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says in a statement that they have taken over the case, and the attack appears to have been targeted and was limited to a single home within a multi-unit complex.
The victim has been identified as a man in his 40s, but no further details have been released pending family notifications.
Homicide investigators say officers will be canvassing the neighbourhood for witnesses.
Anyone with information who hasn’t already spoken to police is urged to call the IHIT information line.
