LONGUEUIL, QUE. – Police on Montreal’s South Shore say they arrested 13 teenagers today in the severe beating of a youth and a major brawl involving about a dozen people.

Insp. Gino Iannone with Longueuil police says officers received three 911 calls around 5:30 p.m. on April 18 after a 15-year-old was severely injured in a fight.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a group of teens but could not confirm their role in the fight or meet with the victim, who was taken to hospital with wounds to his head, arms and legs.

The footage shows a group kicking, punching and using a baton to beat the victim before the fight degenerated into a wider brawl involving about a dozen people.

The youths, aged between 15 and 16 years old, face charges including armed assault, assault, and aiding and abetting.
