SURREY – Police in Surrey, B.C., have fatally shot a suspect after one person was stabbed to death and another was injured.
Surrey police say they were called to a building on Old Yale Road early Friday afternoon about an assault.
They say officers found two people who had been stabbed.
Police say one was declared dead at the scene, while the other victim is expected to recover.
They say a male suspect was found nearby and was fatally shot after a confrontation with officers.
B.C.’s police watchdog has been called in to review the officers’ actions.
