First responders found Michael Ferdinand, a 34-year-old security guard, with fatal gunshot wounds at the casino early one morning in October 2023.

Saskatoon police say they arrested a 20-year-old suspect last week, and he is charged with second-degree murder.

They worked with Durham Region police to make the arrest, and allegedly found a loaded handgun on him when he was taken into custody.

Officials say they will make arrangements to bring the suspect to Durham Region.
