SALMON ARM – Mounties in Salmon Arm, B.C., are asking for the public’s help in a murder investigation that stemmed from a home invasion in the city.
They say around 3 a.m. Friday, three suspects, believed to be a woman and two men, broke into a home on the 100-block of 4th Street SE.
Police say an altercation ensued and a resident was shot and later died of their injuries.
They say the suspects fled in a black Chrysler 300 sedan, which is described as having three matching wheels and a solid steel wheel on the rear passenger side.
The RCMP say a vehicle matching that description was found around 6:35 p.m. that same day burned in a parking lot within the Kelly Mountain Recreation Site.
They are asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the home invasion, or who may have seen the vehicle before it was abandoned or those who have footage of the two areas on Friday to reach out to the detachment.
