HAMILTON – Police say a 15-year-old boy is wanted on multiple charges, including second-degree murder, in a shooting that killed two young people in Hamilton earlier this week.

Investigators say they were called to a housing complex in the Stoney Creek area in the early hours of Wednesday morning and found an 18-year-old and a 16-year-old with gunshot wounds.

They say the two victims were taken to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Police have said they believe at least six people were in the area and an exchange of gunfire took place.

Investigators now say they have obtained an arrest warrant for a teenage suspect, who is wanted on two counts of second-degree murder and four of attempted murder using a weapon.

They are urging the suspect to seek legal advice and turn himself in, warning that anyone who knowingly helps him avoid arrest may also face charges.
