EDMONTON – Police say an arrest has been made in the shooting death of a 16-year-old girl in Edmonton over the weekend.
They say they can’t provide further details about the arrest, because the accused is a youth.
Officers were called Sunday morning to an area of the city’s northeast, where they found the injured girl.
They administered first aid, but she was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived.
The girl’s name has not been released.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
