WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) — Andrew King rushed for two touchdowns and William & Mary forced six turnovers as the Tribe beat Delaware State 22-15 on Saturday.

King rushed for 73 yards on 15 carries and scored on runs of 14 and 3 yards as William & Mary (2-0) built a 16-0 lead in the first quarter.

The Tribe, ranked No. 17 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll, intercepted three passes and recovered three Delaware State fumbles.

Max Lipinski made field goals of 25, 32 and 51 yards, with his final kick giving William & Mary a 22-0 lead with 12:20 remaining.

Delaware State (1-1) scored twice in the fourth quarter behind Noah Brannock. He ran for an 11-yard touchdown with 9:59 left before adding a 2-yard score that cut the deficit to 22-15 with 3:04 remaining.

Brannock rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns and threw for 54 yards. Jayden Jenkins led the Hornets with 57 yards rushing and added 40 yards receiving.

Winston Watkins threw for 95 yards for William & Mary, while Khylil Johnson had 83 yards receiving on four catches.
