Police have identified a 17-year-old Toronto boy as the victim of a Monday afternoon shooting. 

Toronto police say officers responded to a shooting near Jane Street and Finch Avenue around 3:30 p.m. 

Police say 17-year-old Cashie Auguste had been shot and was rushed to hospital.

They say he was pronounced dead shortly after. 

Police have not released any suspect details. 

Auguste’s case is the 24th homicide in Toronto this year.
