MONTREAL – Montreal police say they are investigating a murder after they found a woman in her 40s dead in downtown Montreal on Tuesday.
Police say that this is the 19th homicide to occur in the city this year.
Police say they found the 45-year-old woman at her apartment in the Ville-Marie borough on Tuesday.
They say they were responding to a call for a welfare check.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not made any arrests and did not release further details about the case.
