SUDBURY – Police in Sudbury, Ont., say a 20-year-old driver is dead after crashing into a moose.
Ontario Provincial Police say it happened on Highway 17 in Sudbury.
Police were called to the single-vehicle crash west of the Highway 144 junction at about 9:15 p.m. Wednesday.
OPP say the 20-year-old driver from Sudbury died at the scene.
Police say eastbound lanes were closed for around eight hours as they examined the scene.
The highway has since reopened.
