TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Alabama receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams left Saturday night’s game against No. 2 Georgia with an apparent left leg injury.
Quarterback Keelon Russell targeted Coleman-Williams in the end zone from Georgia’s 16-yard line late in the second quarter. The pass was broken up, and when Coleman-Williams tried to stand up, he could not put any pressure on his left leg. Alabama’s training staff helped him off the field.
Coleman-Williams has 409 yards receiving and four touchdowns this season, including two catches for 33 yards against the Bulldogs.
He wore a brace on his right knee beginning with last week’s victory against Mississippi State. He told reporters it was for “precautionary reasons.”
No. 6 Alabama scored a touchdown on the final play of the first half and took a 14-10 lead into the break. It was the first time Georgia has trailed this season.
