FORT ST. JOHN – A home in Fort St John, B.C., has been peppered with gunshots.
RCMP say they were called to the residence on Saturday after people reported hearing multiple gunshots in the area.
Cpl. Brett Urano says it was fortunate no one was injured, but the potential for a tragic outcome can’t be understated.
He says discharging firearms in a residential neighbourhood puts innocent people and their families at risk.
Urano says investigators are working to identify the shooter to ensure those who engage in this type of violence are brought before the courts.
An RCMP statement says police are asking anyone who witnessed suspicious activity or have video footage in the 10,000-block of 96th Avenue at around 7:30 Saturday morning to reach out to police.
