Weather closes schools, cemeteries

Several school divisions are cancelling school buses and/or classes today, and the city has closed its cemeteries.

Brandon has cancelled buses outside of the city, but they will be running within the City of Brandon. School attendance is up to parental discretion.

Border Land, Red River Valley, Seine River, Hanover and Turtle Mountain school divisions have cancelled classes and the schools are closed.

Other divisions closing schools include Evergreen, Interlake, Lord Selkirk, Pine Creek, Prairie Rose, Sunrise, Western, Prairie Spirit and Garden Valley.

Meanwhile, the City of Winnipeg says Brookside, St. Vital and Transcona cemeteries will be closed until further notice because of blowing snow and poor driving conditions.
