Hey there, time traveller!

River trail skaters will have to hang up their skates for at least a couple of days, if they haven’t already.
The Forks North Portage Partnership Corp., which manages the nine-kilometre trail on the Assiniboine River between the confluence with the Red and Assiniboine Park is officially shutting the trail until further notice.
Officials will make sure the last two days of above-zero weather have not weakened the trail ice, Paul Jordan, The Forks’ chief operating officer, said Wednesday morning.
They will also rebuild the trail and ready it for the last few weeks of winter. That may take a few days, Jordan said.
The trail normally sees about 50,000 people on it over the course of a winter weekend, Jordan said.
Not many users have ventured out on the ice since last weekend because of warmer weather.
