ABOUT THE BLUE JACKETS Columbus is coming off a Friday-Saturday back-to-back that saw them fall 4-3 to Boston in a shootout and then 4-2 to Philadelphia. They are just 6-12-2 overall and 2-6-2 in their last 10 games. The Blue Jackets have been hammered by injuries: their 136 man-games lost has them on a franchise-record pace, according to Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch. Columbus was without four of their top six forwards at one point this season and are now without two of their steadiest defencemen in Fedor Tyutin and Ryan Murray. Both are likely out for another month, while centre Brandon Dubinsky, who has been out since Oct. 8 after abdominal surgery, is getting closer to returning. Mark Letestu, another centre, won't be back for a while. The Blue Jackets haven't played a single game with all four of their projected centres -- including Ryan Johansen and Boone Jenner -- in the lineup because of injuries. RW Nathan Horton, who signed a seven-year, $37.1-million dollar deal in a big splash in July 2013, has played in only 35 games with the Blue Jackets. His back injury may now cost him his career. Columbus is having issues with its penalty killing, ranked 26th in the NHL at 75.3 per cent. The Jackets have surrendered 18 power-play goals in the past 15 games. Jackets goaltenders Sergei Bobrovsky and Curtis McElhinney have an .893 save percentage, tied with Dallas for 29th in the league.
