WINNIPEG – A recreation club has been the target of vicious damage that could run over $100,000.
Police said this morning the damage to the main building of the Wildewood Club happened some time Sunday or today.
The damage includes smashed toilets, and a hose that was left running that flooded the main building of the private club on 761 North Drive. Police said damage also involved smashed windows, including a large one overlooking the club’s curling rink.
The club was also hit October 24 or 25, said police, by vandals who stole about $3,000 in liquor, cash and food items.
However, Winnipeg Police Service spokesman Const. Jason Michalyshen said the damage this time is “far more extensive.”
The police service is investigating the damage, and said anyone with information can call 786-8477 (TIPS).
