NDP pledges to expand Brandon hospital if re-elected

The NDP will spend $12 million to upgrade and expand the Brandon hospital if they are re-elected, Premier Greg Selinger said today in Brandon following the leaders debate.

The NDP will spend $12 million to upgrade and expand the Brandon hospital if they are re-elected, Premier Greg Selinger said today in Brandon following the leaders debate.

Selinger said the money will upgrade the hospital’s medical ward and increase the number of medical beds to 60.

He said the NDP has already funded the new state-of-the art Westman Lab and the Western Manitoba CancerCare Centre with radiation therapy services as part of the $58 million redevelopment of the Brandon Regional Health Centre.
