Liberal leader Dr. Jon Gerrard has unveiled a massive annual $57.2-million financial aid package of grants and tuition rebates for post-secondary students who maintain good marks.

Gerrard also committed a Liberal government to capping tuition at the rate of inflation.

However, Gerrard would not specify what level of operating grants a Grit government would give to universities and colleges.

And he was not prepared today to offer any specific details on his promise, such as the level of marks necessary for students to qualify, or how much money an individual student could receive.
