Hugh McFadyen is in western Manitoba today, campaigning in a pair of ridings the Tories hope to steal from the NDP.
The Conservative leader promised a new 40-bed personal care home in Dauphin this morning. He pegged the cost at $10 million.
NDP stalwart Stan Struthers, the province’s agriculture minister, is in a tough fight with the Conservatives’ Lloyd McKinney in Dauphin constituency.
This afternoon, McFadyen will campaign in Brandon East, which has been in NDP hands for four decades. But the Tories believe incumbent Drew Caldwell is vulnerable there. The Conservative candidate is Mike Waddell, a construction safety officer.
