The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Assiniboia Downs are hosting a fundraising social in the memory of former defensive line and assistant head coach Richard Harris.

The Oct. 29 event will take place on the main concourse and outdoor viewing tarmac at the Downs. Players and Bombers personnel are expected to take part in the social, and all attendees are asked to bring a teddy bear in honour of the ‘Richard’s Bear Hugs’ program.

Those who bring in a new teddy bear will have a chance at a special prize draw. The teddy bears will be donated to local charities afterwards.
