The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have added another receiver to the mix.

The CFL club added Canadian receiver Cassidy Doneff, 25, to the practice roster Tuesday. The 6-foot, 183-pound pass catcher from Cochrane, Alta. comes to the Bombers via the Bielefeld Bulldogs, an American football club based out of Germany.

Doneff, a Washburn University-product, was originally drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the sixth round (41st overall) of the 2009 CFL Canadian draft.

The Bombers are on the practice field Tuesday morning, with only a handful of players sitting out. Defensive lineman Rodney Fritz (hamstring) linebacker Marcellus Bowman (undisclosed), and defensive back Alex Suber (neck) are all not practising.

Receiver Clarence Denmark, who left Saturday’s 24-10 loss in Edmonton with a shoulder injury, is back on the field.

The Bombers (9-6) take on the Montreal Alouettes (10-5) at Canad Inns Stadium Saturday afternoon.
