WINNIPEG – A recount has confirmed New Democrat Dave Gaudreau as the next MLA for St. Norbert.
An automatic recount in front of a judge was completed Monday and gave Gaudreau a 31-vote lead over PC candidate Karen Velthuys.
On election night, Gaudreau’s lead was 30 votes, small enough to trigger an automatic recount.
Still to come this week is a recount in Kirkfield Park, where NDP MLA Sharon Blady finished with just 26 votes over her Tory challenger.
