The Winnipeg Jets have recalled blue-liners Brett Festerling and Mark Flood from the AHL farm team in St. John’s, N.L., to reinforce their injury-depleted roster.
Derek Meech and Ron Hainsey are both ailing and unable to play while fellow defenceman Tobias Enstrom was injured on a hit from Florida’s Jack Skille in the Jets’ 4-3 shootout win over the Panthers Monday. Enstrom has since returned to Winnipeg for medical attention.
The Jets take on the New York Islanders in Uniondale, N.Y., Thursday night.
