Guessing game

As expected, head coach Paul LaPolice was not ready to name quarterback Buck Pierce his starter Wednesday. Pierce is working with a brace on his injured right knee and looks like he’s moving well. Just based on that small scouting report it would come as a complete shock if Pierce didn’t get the call for the East final.

Minor scare

Speaking of Pierce and injury, the club let out a collective gasp when he smacked his throwing hand on the helmet of defensive lineman Don Oramasionwu. A visibly bothered Pierce shook and flexed his hand to get rid of the instant pain, and looked fine throwing the ball afterwards.
