FRIDAY’S practice saw the re-uniting of Toby Enstrom and Dustin Byfuglien as a defence pairing. They had been split up Thursday, with Enstrom skating Zach Bogosian and Byfuglien going with rookie Josh Morrissey, who was sharp.

Coach Claude Noel was rather evasive on the matter.

“That’s just part of the process, what we’re doing,” the coach said. “They played last year part of the year together… we want to see how they both play together and apart. The goal remains the same for us. We have to be better in our goals against. If them playing together makes us accomplish that goal, that’s what we’ll do.”
