Hey there, time traveller!

Winnipeg speedskater Brittany Schussler removed from twitter a picture of herself with Russian President Vladimir Putin following angry backlash from the twitterverse.
The speedskater posed for the selfie with the Russian president when he visited Canada House on Friday. She included the caption, “I should’ve asked him to be my Valentine!”
Much of the backlash criticized Schussler for posing with the president of a country known for its oppressive laws towards its gay and transgender citizens.
Schussler followed up with a tweet which said, “To be clear I was joking + in no way want to be misconstrued as supporting his values.”
