Northern Manitoba First Nations ‎are imploring Canada’s major parties to make more tangible promises during the federal election campaign.

Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak, which represents 30 northern First Nations, called on all the ‎parties Thursday to stop making “wishy washy promises” and deliver more tangible results in terms of improving housing, social services and living standards for northern indigenous communities.

MKO Grand Chief Sheila North Wilson said the organization is not endorsing any party, ‎even though she said it has traditionally supported the NDP.
