In another pre-election pledge, the Selinger government is promising to replace at-grade intersections on the south Perimeter Highway with modern interchanges.
Premier Greg Selinger pledged Tuesday to spend $400 million to $800 million on four new Perimeter intersections, with construction beginning no later than 2022.
The plan is to replace the traffic lights at Highway 3 with a new diamond, build new interchanges at St. Mary’s Road and St. Anne’s Road and complete the Kenaston Boulevard-Waverley Street interchange.
Manitobans go to the polls on April 19. Selinger said he’s making long-term pledges because the construction industry needs certainty.
