The Winnipeg Jets subdued the Vancouver Canucks Monday night.
The visitors were quicker, more aggressive and sharper shooting in scoring a 5-2 win at Rogers Arena.
Marko Dano led the visitors on the scoresheet with a pair of goals and an assist. The goals were the young Slovak’s third and fourth of the season and his second and third for the Jets since being acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks in the Andrew Ladd trade.

Michael Hutchinson stopped 26 of 28 shots to earn the victory in the Jets net.
The victory improved Winnipeg’s record to 29-35-5.
Tyler Myers with his ninth, Alex Burmistrov with his seventh and Mark Scheifele with his 23rd also scored for the Jets. The goal by Scheifele extended his point streak to eight games (8 goals, 4 assists).
Maathieu Perreault had a pair of assists for the Jets.
The Jets were playing the first of two games out west – they play the Flames in Calgary on Wednesday – before returning home to play Ladd and the Blackhawks Friday night at the MTS Centre.
Jets defenceman Dustin Byfuglien was an un-healthy scratch due to the flu bug and was replaced in the lineup by Julian Melchiori, who played on a pairing with Myers. Jacob Trouba took Byfuglien’s spot on the team’s top pairing with Toby Enstrom.
